Choose peptides to target wrinkles & loss of firmness

Peptide skincare acts as building blocks of proteins like collagen, elastin and keratin. The science shows that adding peptides to your routine helps boost healthy texture, strength and resilience so you can see results like plump, firm and younger-looking skin.

What are peptides supposed to do?

Peptides in skincare really work to deliver results like faded fine lines and wrinkles, improved skin elasticity and a more supported skin barrier. They work by acting like little messengers, telling your skin cells to do important jobs like build more collagen and elastin.

Are peptide products essential?

If you want to choose peptides for ageing skin, you can see them as an essential ingredient in your routine. Likewise, if are thinking of picking peptides for dry skin, you can see them as a gamechanger for hydration so long as you use leave-on formulas like peptide moisturisers or peptide serums. This is so that you leave the nourishing ingredient enough time to replenish the skin, without rinsing it off straight away.

Should I use a peptide serum or a peptide moisturiser?

This depends on a few factors. If you have a consistent routine that you like and want to add peptides easily, you can slot a peptide serum into your skincare routine as an extra step without too much disruption. If you don't already have a favourite moisturiser that is locking in hydration all day, swap out your current PM moisturiser for a peptide moisturiser like ours.

What should you not mix with peptides?

With Paula's Choice peptide skincare, there's nothing you can't mix with our formulas. In fact, it is a great idea to use the cocktail approach and mix multiple superstar ingredients into your routine if you really want to see results. Mixing hyaluronic acid and peptides is good for hydrated skin, BHA and peptides are good for plump and glowing skin, while AHA and peptides help you see smooth and firm skin.

At what age should I start using peptide products?

Since it is a good choice to use peptides for wrinkles, you can start as soon as you're needing anti-ageing results.

Are peptides good for sensitive skin?

Our peptide skincare products don't contain ingredients proven to cause sensitivity or irritation in the skin. If your skin is very sensitive, it is always best to patch test a little of the peptide product onto a small area of your skin. If sensitivity and redness is your main skin concern, we recommend a full routine of the CALM collection and with the Multi-Peptide Booster as an extra step, since it gives you the benefits of peptides along with potent skin-soothing and skin-replenishing antioxidants that help relax your skin.
