Paula's choice niacinamide products

Skincare products with niacinamide come in many different textures and concentrations. You can find a niacinamide serum, hydrating toner or moisturiser options.
For dry skin, choose our ultra-rich moisturiser with niacinamide and hydrating toner. For oily or combination skin, opt for the lightweight textures of an oil-free moisturiser and pore-reducing toner with niacinamide.
No matter your skin type, if you're picking niacinamide skincare, then always avoid sensitising ingredients like denatured alcohol, essential oils and natural or synthetic fragrance. The best niacinamide products have well-rounded formulas that include other skin-beneficial ingredients like moisturising emollients, further antioxidants and replenishing and restoring ingredients.

What skin concerns does niacinamide target most effectively?

Niacinamide works for all skin types and most concerns, so you can layer multiple products as you see fit in order from thinnest to thickest texture for ultimate visible benefits. For example, you can use a niacinamide serum and then a niacinamide cream straight afterwards.

How long does niacinamide take to work?

It is typical to see results 2-4 weeks after 2X daily niacinamide usage (depending on the severity of your skin concerns and the concentration of niacinamide you've chosen). Ongoing use is required to maintain results.
Results will continue to improve over time but do not expect your skin to be completely “poreless" since your skin needs pores for vital functions. What you can expect is pores that look smaller, skin tone that looks more even, visibly reduced fine lines and wrinkles and an overall healthier-looking glow.

How to use niacinamide serum

Apply in the order of your usual routine: cleanser, toner, exfoliant, niacinamide serum and then moisturiser (SPF in the AM).
Wondering when to use niacinamide serum? You can choose either your morning or evening routine or both, whichever you can keep most consistent. It is also okay to use niacinamide every day.

Is 10% or 20% niacinamide better?

Research shows that concentrations as low as 0.5% can benefit the skin, but we offer serums with niacinamide at 5%, 10% and even our first-of-its-kind 20%. For targeted treatments, choosing between 10 and 20% depends on how serious your skin concerns are. For enlarged pores, choose 10% and for stretched and sagging pores, choose 20% strength.

Can I use multiple products with niacinamide?

Yes and, in fact, using niacinamide with other bioactive ingredients helps provide advanced results.
Niacinamide and retinol work together to minimise enlarged pores and even out skin tone, with even more dramatic results. Niacinamide and vitamin C even out skin tone and texture, while niacinamide with AHA or BHA exfoliants work to smooth and refine the complexion. Use niacinamide with hyaluronic acid if you'd like to plump skin and boost hydration.
Remember that a multi-ingredient approach to skincare is the way forward because your skin needs more than one ingredient to look and feel its best.
